Local business owner Jeff Sweenor has taken a new approach to finding the right skilled trade workers for his local business: Training them himself. In this week's Independent Newspaper, Sweenor discussed his thought process behind the creation of "Sweenor University," an apprenticeship program with his business and local high school students looking to explore a future in building construction.

“Building a farm system of craftsmen that are passionate about the trades, want to be part of a highly successful local organization, and are hungry to learn is incredibly valuable,” he said.
